Chocolate Cashew Cream Filled Strawberries

My parents’ garden is dehydrating. Big time. Even though I am trying my best to keep it alive, the tomatoes’ skin is literally burning off and the sunflowers are wilting. I can’t stop it! Which just goes to show: This weather is NOT good. I seriously can’t deal with the heat. It makes me angry and I don’t know how people actually say they enjoy it. I just really don’t like the constant sweating and dehydration going on. In both plants and myself.

Which is why I needed some cooking or baking to get my mood back on track. Why can’t there be “cooking weather” instead of “heat” or “summer weather”?

Egg-Free Whipped Mango Mousse

The December Salad: “Freaky” Ginger Fruit Salad With Salty Pistachio Crumbs

After my two hits “The October Salad” and “The November Salad”, I am not letting you down in December, and am, finally, on its very last day, posting my recipe for the December salad. However, this one is a little different. I was in a bit of a bind this month, as I don’t really enjoy salad as a main meal as much when it’s cold out. I much prefer soups, stews, or warm things in general when I am chilled to the bone – who wouldn’t?

Lazy Sundays And Brittle-Berry-Banana Snack Glasses With A Coconut Cream Topping

I love Sundays. Sundays are the only day of the week that are not filled with things to do, but only things I want to do. Sundays are the only day of the week I can sleep in without having to set an alarm, and the only day of the week I have time to look over my blog posts, correcting typos and editing a sentence here and there. And, Sundays are a great day to experiment with new snacks & dishes, because I am not under any sort of time pressure!
