I know I have been MIA the past three days, and I am so sorry to leave you all hanging after posting daily before. Those of you who have been following my posts (and if you aren’t yet – WHY NOT???!) will know that I was traveling for two days as I had been invited to a function to give a speech on my bachelor’s thesis. So, naturally, I didn’t get to/have to do any cooking. I was positively surprised by the hotel I was staying at, as they served lactose-free and soy milk products with every meal – that is far from normal here in Germany.
I had to ride the train for 5 hours to get to the function on Friday, and yesterday, after successfully delivering my speech, I got on the train again to get home. However, instead of taking 5 hours, the trip took me 7 1/2. How is that possible, you ask? Well, my first train arrived late, my second train was cancelled, which meant I had to take another train, which in turn was late again, and, the final train I got into, arrived late also. It was a grand day to be using public transportation, I tell you!
