Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Bread Cake

The title of today’s post is too long. I know this, but I honestly didn’t know how to shorten it anymore. Originally, I thought about naming this cake:

Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Bread Raspberry Coconut Cake.

But that would’ve definitely been too long. The title now is my compromise. If you have a better, idea, let me know in the comments, and I may change it.

Super Spicy Squash Soup

I just spent about five seconds coming up with the alliteration that is my title of this blog post – be proud of me, will ya!?

Tonight I am dropping a quick post on you, featuring mostly the recipe and less of the rambling, simply because I have been sitting at my desk for quite some time and, quite frankly, I am sick of it. If there is one thing I am looking forward to once I am a “real” teacher, not just one in training, it’s that I will actually be standing throughout most of my morning. Currently, I am standing up during my breaks, because otherwise I’d be sitting throughout the entire day…which my back is absolutely hating.

Alright, that’s all the rambling for today, I promise. Let’s just get to the soup.

Mango Coconut Nicecream

I am so worried these days, and I just can’t seem to turn it off. It’s great starting my life as a “working citizen” soon, but with great privilege comes great responsibility, and I just can’t deal with all that responsibility that well (yet). I think it’s all this talk about insurances, future house building plans, children, etc. that is kind of getting to my nerves. Sometimes I wish I could just take a look at my life in 5 years, then come back to the present and know everything is going to end up being perfectly fine. Anybody invent a time machine yet?

Single Serving Pure Chocolate Nicecream

Eventhough it hasn’t been a particularly warm day, I was really craving nicecream today. I haven’t had it in such a long time, I guess it was one of those cases where your tastebuds suddenly remember something delicious it once had, and you just need to have it right that second. As I was having it for dessert, I didn’t feel like a fruity version, but it had to be chocolate tonight. Pure, rich, intense chocolate. So, one single serving pure chocolate nicecream coming up!

Re-Energize Week Day 4: No Denials

It’s hot in here. I mean REALLY HOT. A heat wave has got Germany sweating and panting, and in our little apartment right below the roof, the heat is bounding on unbearable. I actually fled my apartment yesterday and sat around in my parent’s kitchen, as they live in a big old house with extra-thick stone walls, keeping the house’s insides nice and cool.

Getting moving as I wanted yesterday didn’t work quite as well as I wanted it to – I was really, simply suffering from the heat, but also a bad case of moodiness that made me question the world, my point of being, and everything else. Anybody else have those type of days?

Sunshine Smoothie Without Greens

The “Green”-Hype has been crazy in this apartment. For the past two weeks, I’ve been loading up on leafy greens in my smoothies, no matter which color they turned out! (Check out my instagram account for some particularly disturbing results, such as my BLACK smoothie!) When my sister came to visit for breakfast the other day, however, I was fed up with greens for breakfast. I therefore made a  sunshiney, pretty yellow, vitamin C-loaded smoothie that’ll get you high on its citric, lightly bitter yet amazingly sweet and creamy taste!

Anger Management And My Favorite Steals Of Late

Carrot Cake Cookies And Adapted Banana Coconut Bread

I got really angry today. Which is nothing rare, I’m like everyone else, sometimes you just get furious about feeling…cheated. I am guessing that’s what all anger comes down to: feeling like somehow, in some way, by somebody or something, we didn’t get something that we had a right to. Whether it be attention, the last piece of cake, or, as in my case, time with my study group.

Are you laughing at me?

The Big Coconut Bowl

The sun is shining today! Yippie! It’s still quite cold outside, but after days of grey, it’s such a welcome change to see the sun shining its a*** off out there. I’m not sure what we’ll be doing the rest of today, but to know the sun is out is enough for now.

Raw Blueberry Cream Cake

My brother dropped by for lunch yesterday, and I was very happy about that, as I could force him to taste-test my newest raw cake creation! I love baking, cooking, and making “raw” goodies, but I hate having to eat it all by myself. Well, maybe not hate, but it’s just not good if you make yummy food and eat it all yourself all the time. 🙂

Healthy Raw Carrot Cake Bites And Game Night

My boyfriend and I are invited to a game night this evening, and I’ve been going through my kitchen, trying to find something to bring as a treat.  The friend we’re visiting is a strict no-carber most of the time, so I didn’t want to bake anything, yet I know he enjoys his sweets every now and then, hence I tried to come up with something to fit all those requirements (even though he has now idea that I’m going to all these lengths 🙂 ).
