Peanutbutter & Jelly French Toast

I woke up today realizing I still had a few days off before school starts and that I’ve been doing it all wrong. I have been trying to get into a sort of habit all week, “preparing” myself for going back to school. But it just doesn’t work without the structure a typical work day provides. Which is always tough for me, because for me habits and structures is probably the most important thing in life.

I figure, however, that I should really be enjoying my final days of summer break without that feeling of having to do something in the back of my mind, without the giddy stressfulness of starting at a new school, without the utter exhaustion that is bound to come. I just don’t do well with relaxation. It’s super weird, I know, and I really don’t know what’s wrong with me concerning that, but I feel like I function so much better when I have a lot to do.

Product Review: Chocolate and co.

I’m coming at you from a place of headaches. I have felt it coming on all day, and I guess now it’s finally hitting me. I’m not gonna whine too much about it, though, as I feel like it’s something that has been happening quite frequently, so I guess it’s not worth whining about every time. I’m headed for a nice bubblebath after this blogpost, so that’ll probably help a lot.

I have a headache. I guess I am becoming a cliché. I often wonder what makes being a teacher so exhausting. And why it seems to me as if it’s more exhausting than other jobs. Or is that just me throwing myself a pity party?

Crunchy Raspberry Peanutbutter Cup Clouds

I just spent an hour trying to reach an office that would be able to explain to me why my doctor’s bills haven’t been covered by my insurance. Once I reached the office, I was informed very bluntly that I was missing one document. After I asked just one question about what that document should look like, I was treated like a stupid person, but you know what, I really can’t feel stupid after having to deal with all the crazy German bureaucracy paperwork stuff. How am I supposed to know what I should send where if there’s a million documents with words on them that I don’t understand?

I do feel a little stupid.

Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Bread Cake

The title of today’s post is too long. I know this, but I honestly didn’t know how to shorten it anymore. Originally, I thought about naming this cake:

Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Bread Raspberry Coconut Cake.

But that would’ve definitely been too long. The title now is my compromise. If you have a better, idea, let me know in the comments, and I may change it.
